2019-08-06 Arrival in Banff

Andy dropped Ruth and I off early in the morning at Ottawa Airport for us to fly to Calgary, Alberta. As we came into land the woman sitting next to me pointed out the Saddledome which is a multi-use indoor arena.

We then caught a coach up to Banff where we are staying for two nights.  I took my first picture of the Canadian Rockies en route.

The hotel we are staying in for two nights has a rustic ski lodge feel but is totally unsuitable for someone with limited mobility.  Even our hotel room is on two floors.

Ruth and I walked down into the centre of Banff meeting a friendly moose on the way.

Banff is very pretty and surrounded by the Rockies.

We walked around and found an excellent place to eat before having an early night back at the hotel.

  1. Gosh, an hotel room over two floors must be somewhat unusual!
