Today we left Venice today to embark on our Mediterranean cruise. Thankfully we had ordered a water taxi to the Marittima cruise terminal as there was a public transport strike. It was a relief to follow the signs through the cruise terminal to go through the embarkation process.
We were ferried by coach to our ship the Silver Spirit where we had a lovely lunch. In the early evening we went up on deck for a cocktail while the ship sailed from Fusina. This was followed by a lovely dinner in one of the ship’s many restaurants.
After dinner we ended our day by going up to the piano bar to listen to live piano music while sipping a bedtime cocktail. The pianist was excellent at doing requests from those of us in the bar.
