Ruth and I are on our travels again. We arrived in Venice today where we are spending three nights before going on a cruise from Venice to Civitavecchia. This will include my first visit to Greece and Malta.
We took a water taxi from near the airport to
our hotel in the centre of Venice. The
water taxi made some rather startling noises at times but we got used to them.
After we settled into our hotel we went out for dinner at
this lovely restaurant near our hotel.
Ruth and I decided we would go for the grilled fish
platter. The waiter filleted the sea
bass and sea bream at our table.
This spectacular dinner, washed down with a bottle of wine, made a splendid start to our
holiday.
