Today I joined the S.S. Catherine and had lunch with some very friendly Americans from Arizona. Our rooms became available in the early afternoon so I spent the rest of the afternoon settling in.
I had a lively dinner with two Australian couples and an American woman. After dinner some of us went for a cocktail outside on a rear terrace of the ship.
We were amazed to see a swan family with seven cygnets coasting round the ship.
The quay beside the boat was full of local people enjoying a warm Sunday evening.
